Free 20 Minute Consultation
Scheduling a free consult by video, audio-only, or phone, is a great way to meet with me to see if I feel like a good fit for you
Some things we can discuss during a consult include:
What’s brought you to counselling
What you’re hoping will change in your life
What some first steps in counselling might be together
A bit about me and my approach
Any accessibility questions or concerns you may have
Any questions you have about me or the counselling process
Next steps if you’d like to see me for counselling – there’s no pressure to make a decision on the spot, you can take as long as you need after the consultation or contact me afterwards with any additional questions you may have
Fees
Fees are for a one hour counselling session (about 50 minutes):
- Standard Fee: $150
- Equity Pricing: starts at $120
Equity pricing on a sliding scale is available for a limited number of clients who face barriers to accessing counselling, including financial (e.g. lack of income, insurance coverage) or being part of an equity-deserving community (e.g. racialized, queer, disabled, etc.). We can chat about this at any time.
Insurance
Most insurance companies cover services provided by a registered social worker (RSW) like myself. Some questions that may be useful to ask your insurance provider before scheduling a full session include:
- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
