Hi there, I'm Monika

I’m a registered social worker and psychotherapist, who’s passionate about supporting people with misophonia (specific sound sensitivity) and people who are part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. If you’re feeling lost, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself or the world around you, I’m here to support you.

My goal is to meet you where you’re at, help you tune into your inner wisdom, and guide you towards feeling more calm, centred, and connected with life.

Everyone deserves to feel truly seen and understood for their full selves, without being asked to change who they are. That’s why my approach is queer and gender-affirming, neurodivergent-affirming, weight-inclusive, anti-diet, anti-ableist, and anti-racist. You are inherently worthy of love, support, and belonging, as you are now, and always have been.

We may be a good fit together if you're

seeking affirming, compassionate, and down-to-earth care, and are:

Struggling with misophonia

If specific sound sensitivity has made school, work, or life, difficult:

I bring an informed and collaborative approach to help identify strategies for managing triggers that work for you

Exploring your identity

If you’re wondering about your gender identity, expression, or sexuality:

I offer lived experience as a queer person and education in affirming practices to support you on your own unique journey

Wanting to connect with life

If you’ve been feeling anxious, depressed, stressed, or just not like yourself:

I use a trauma-informed approach to help you feel grounded so that you can start to move towards the life that you want

““You were born to heal, to grow, to be of service to yourself and community, to practice, to experiment, to create, to have space, to dream, and to connect.”
